What is Voluntary Return?

Voluntary Return is a free service for people thinking about returning to their country of origin. If you decide that this is the right choice for you, we can take care of everything including booking your flights and making sure you have all the documents you need.

The following people can apply for Voluntary Return:

• People from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who are asylum seekers;
• People from outside the EEA who are not legally allowed to live in Ireland;
• Anybody who has been a victim of trafficking;
• Children under age 18 from outside of the EEA who are separated from their family;
• Sometimes we can help people in need who do not fit into the above categories.
