Constantine came to Ireland in 2005 and stayed for three years. He struggled, however, to find consistent work and access social services. He knew he could not support himself in Ireland any longer, and was facing vulnerable circumstances. A friend told him that he could as IOM for assistance, and Constantine made an appointment to discuss his situation. He learned that IOM could purchase his plane ticket, and that he could apply for reintegration assistance to start his own company in Moldova.

Constantine returned to Moldova and applied for the reintegration grant immediately. He knew that he wanted to begin a cooking and catering service, and drew up a business plan that included the purchase of a stove, central heating, and other necessary kitchen equipment. He now does catering for weddings, birthday parties, and other social occasions.

After six months, Constantine reported that his business was developing very slowly because he was running it on his own, but that he was very confident that he would be able to support himself with the work. Constantine said that he was happy to have returned to Moldova, and he hopes that his business will continue to grow there.
