Louise and her three young children were trafficked to Ireland by her former partner. Determined to build a safer future and protect her children, Louise bravely escaped her trafficker and sought assistance through IOM’s Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) program. With hopes of reuniting with loved ones and beginning their journey of healing, Louise decided to return to her home country.
IOM Ireland, in close collaboration with local social services and IOM missions globally, worked quickly to ensure a safe and dignified return for Louise and her children.
Today, Louise and her children are happy and healthy in their home country. Louise decided to use her reintegration grant to establish a transportation and delivery business.
